Finished from the factory in Beige Metallic (4E8), this attractive
1985 Toyota Landcruiser FJ60 was professionally repainted and vinyl
graphics were applied to the body sides in June 2021. Details
include a 4PlusProducts front bumper with a Warn winch and
auxiliary driving lights in addition to an ARB roof rack, window
tint film, and a 4PlusProducts Expedition rear bumper with a
ladder, reverse lights, a receiver hitch and a jerrycan that has
been modified for use as a storage container. The windshield and
headlight washer tanks were also replaced as part of the
refurbishment.
Steel 16-inch City Racer wheels are mounted with 255/85-16 BF
Goodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 tires and a matching spare is affixed
to the swing-away rear carrier. The front axle is equipped with
Aisin manually locking hubs and the truck rides on an Ironman Foam
Cell suspension lift kit with Cool Cruiser HFS shackles. A Redhead
steering gearbox has been fitted and the front disc and rear drum
brakes were overhauled as part of the refurbishment. The front
steering knuckles were rebuilt, and the tie rod ends were replaced
in October 2021.
The front bucket seats and folding rear bench seat are upholstered
in patterned tan cloth. Replacement carpets were installed, the
seatbelts were refurbished and an Alpine Bluetooth-capable head
unit was fitted inside of a Cool Cruiser lockable center console.
Additional equipment includes a carpeted dash pad, a Uniden CB
radio, Alpine speakers and rubberized floor mats. The air
conditioning system was overhauled with modern freon in May 2023
and blows nice and cold. The three-spoke steering wheel frames an
85-mph-speedometer, a 4,500-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges
for coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and voltage. A
Holley EFI module is mounted above the dashboard.
Under the hood, the 4.2-liter 2F inline-six was fitted with Holley
Sniper electronic fuel injection by Goode's Off-Road in Rowlett,
Texas, in October 2021. Further services performed under current
ownership involved adjusting the valves as well as replacing the
radiator, water pump, thermostat, exhaust manifold, oil pan, timing
cover, fuel filter, battery, coolant fan and hoses, drive belts and
motor mounts. An H55 five-speed manual transmission and a
replacement dual-range transfer case were additionally installed
and route power to the rear or all four wheels. Additional work
