The 37 Ford 2-door is an American classic with it’s smooth styling and iconic features. This was the first year that Ford integrated the headlights into the front fenders for a bold sleek look clear to the rear “Slantback” trunk lid.
This older Restomod cruiser checks all the boxes with modern amenities and some unique features. Power is supplied by a rebuilt small block 350 with Holly 4 barrel, chrome “Ram’s Horn” exhaust manifolds, and SS dual exhaust system. Many chromed and polished engine components make the engine bay sparkle. Coupled to the engine is a TH350 3 speed automatic transmission. A chromed Corvette independent rear suspension with posi-traction supports the rear of the vehicle while a Mustang II IFS clip with power rack-and-pinion steering is mounted under the front. This Ford rolls on Uniroyal Tiger Paw radials (P185/65R15) in front and Michelin LTX radials (P235/75R15) in back and are wrapped around Colorado Custom aluminum wheels. Hidden power assist brake chamber engages 4 wheel disc brakes.
The solid all steel body and some trim are painted in Orange/Red and has recently been restored. Normal scratches and rock chips from driving are present. Chrome trim and bumpers are in good condition. All body panels are straight and along with the frame, have no rust.
The custom interior is charcoal gray with red accents, is in good condition, and includes reclining electric front seats and rear bench. Custom dash and tilt/power steering wheel are billet aluminum with analog SW gauges. Odometer shows 56933 non-original miles. Vintage Air supplies heat and A/C. Custom built electric cowl vent supplements cabin ventilation. Polished aluminum overhead console supports cabin lighting and Alpine AM/FM stereo with MP3 capabilities and a boost amplifier is mounted in the carpeted trunk. The electric radio antenna is “Frenched” into the rear body panel and controlled by a switch on the dash. Vacuum operated windshield wipers help retain the vintage look. After market cruise control has been installed but not yet operational. Windshield glass shows small rock chips and passenger side window has small chip in upper edge.
