1936 FORD PICK UP ENGINE: Chevrolet 350-cu.in. OHV V-8 TRANSMISSION
Automatic EXTERIOR COLOR: Brown INTERIOR: Tan vinyl ODOMETER:
49,877 This sweet 1936 Ford Pick Up has been carefully restomodded,
shown at a few car shows before it was tucked away in storage for
10 years. After being found and acquired, the prior owner installed
the new Chevrolet 350ci engine and transmission combo. A lot of
custom woodwork adds to the unique look of this '36 Ford pickup.
POWERTRAIN Within the last 200 miles a new Chevrolet 350-cubic inch
small-block V-8 crate engine was installed and topped with a new
Holley fuel injection system. The engine has the following new
parts: starter, alternator, electric fuel pump, water pump, intake
manifold and exhaust headers. The transmission is a rebuilt GM
three-speed automatic sourced from Jegs Performance. EXTERIOR The
brown exterior paint as "good," but with some chips. The pickup
bed, tailgate and rear bumper have been customized with wood,
including a couple of barrels that go along with the "Moonshine
Runner" name of the truck. The lettering and pinstriping have been
done in gold enamel. The truck has cowl lights, a painted grille
and a chrome front bumper. The windshield glass is original. All
the window seals and lighting is considered to be "good." INTERIOR
These 1936 Ford pickup cabs are far from the limo-like legroom of
modern F-Series pickups, but this bench seat has been tastefully
upholstered in tan vinyl with brown piping. The door panels were
upholstered to match. The upholstery, carpet and headliner all look
great. The truck has a newer stereo and a newer heater that work
fine. The fuel gauge isn't connected. CHASSIS The suspension
appears largely original with a factory style I-beam front axle and
transverse spring. Newer tubular shock absorbers and front disc
brakes have been added. The rear end appears to be a GM 10-bolt
unit mounted on parallel leaf springs. The steering is straight.
The brakes and other suspension components good. The aftermarket
wheels are in fair condition while the BFGoodrich tires have 90%
tread remaining. ***If you are viewing this on Facebook
