Ford Mustang, Chevrolet decided to come to the Pony car war on
September 29, 1966. The automaker came out swinging with the debut
of the 1967 Camaro, and the American automotive landscape would
never be the same. Built upon the new F-Body platform, nearly all
first-generation Camaros were produced at the Norwood, Ohio, and
Van Nuys assembly plants. The Camaro was designed to house a
big-block between the frame rails out of the gate, with many
customers opting to slot in the 396 CI V-8. Ticking the Super Sport
option package offered: either a 350/295 HP, 396/325hp or a 396/375
HP V-8; chassis and suspension upgrades to improve handling;
special nose striping; and a plethora of SS badging This 1967
