Car was purchased in 2017 by my father in law. The car was in restored condition. We replaced the brake master cylinder and rear brakes. Unfortunately he passed in 2018 and my wife and I took ownership. We have had it stored in a garage and kept it on the road but only drove it occasionally. .
I have a lot of paperwork for the car from the previous owner. A letter written in 2004 gives some of the history of the car. The second owner purchased the car in 1993 from their neighbor in Norfolk where the original owner had it stored in his garage since 1974. The letter explains that the motor was rebuilt, new electrical system installed, new gas tank and gas line, knee action put into shape, new brakes, new chrome. In 2004 the owner had WW Motor Cars & Parts in Virginia restore the interior of the car.
The car is a rust free, original condition (right down to the 6 volt electrical system) running and driving car. The clutch is good, steering is as tight as you can expect from a 80+ year old car. The starter switch is still on the gas pedal. With a little polishing it could be a show stopper.
The front suspension is original and the hydraulics could use some attention. There is some bounce as you go over the bumps. Being the original drivetrain top speed is below 40mph.
