Vehicle Description
The Saturn Sky was introduced for the 2007 model year as a fun, two
seat sports car in the classic sense of a MG or Austin Healey. Only
available as a convertible, hence the name, the Sky was powered by
a 2.4L Ecotec inline four cylinder from the GM corporate parts bin.
This all aluminum DOHC engine featured a small bore(88mm) and long
stroke(98mm) with 10.4:1 compression and variable valve timing on
both the intake and exhaust camshafts to produce 177 horsepower and
166 lb. ft. of torque at 6,600 RPM. With the five-speed manual,
0-60 could be accomplished in 7.2 seconds, while the 1/4-mile
flashes by in 15.7 seconds. This engine was linked to either an
Aisin 5-speed manual transmission, or a GM 5-speed automatic
borrowed from the Cadillac CTS. The suspension and driveline are
very reminiscent of the Chevrolet Corvette, with an aluminum
intensive four-wheel independent setup, aluminum limited slip
differential, rack and pinion steering, big sway bars front and
rear, Bilstein gas shocks, and anti-lock disc brakes all around.
This combination of rear wheel drive, light weight (only 2,933
lbs.), and excellent suspension gave the Sky a fun to drive and
toss able nature. The Sky also had great looks that lend an almost
European flair, along with big 18X8 inch wheels that filled the
wheel wells and gave the car a wide stance. Inside was a
comfortable place to be with cozy seating for two, power windows,
power locks, power mirrors, premium audio, ice-cold AC, three
hidden cup holders, and small storage bins for your essential
items. This 2007 Sky pictured here for sale is finished in Silver
Pearl over black leather interior with matching black canvas
convertible top. The wheels are the optional chrome plate five
spokes wrapped in Goodyear Eagle RS-A radials. This Sky is equipped
with the optional Premium Trim Package with two tone steering wheel
and aluminum pedal covers. Small anodized red accents abound
through out and give this slinky Saturn a very sporty look. With
just over 25,000 miles on the clock, this Saturn is in as new
condition and only needs a new garage to call home. Contact Brian
