Description:
This 1975 Datsun 280Z was modified under previous ownership and
power comes from a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 paired with a 6L80 six-speed
automatic transmission, while the body has been refinished in
metallic orange and features a shaved rear bumper, a 240Z-style
front bumper, and an aftermarket air dam. Additional details
include 16? wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, black vinyl upholstery,
a Grant steering wheel, an aftermarket shifter, tinted windows,
Talbot Berlin-style mirrors, Hooker headers, and an aluminum
radiator.
Interior:
The bucket seats are trimmed in black vinyl and are joined by a
color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. A data
link connector is mounted below the right side of the dashboard,
and additional interior elements include an electric rear window
defogger, hand-crank windows, an aftermarket shifter, three-point
seatbelts, and a center console with integrated storage. The air
conditioning is inoperative. The three-spoke Grant steering wheel
wears a Z-logo horn button and frames a 160-mph speedometer and a
tachometer. An analog clock and auxiliary gauges are mounted in the
center stack, while an aftermarket readout for oil pressure has
been installed below the dashboard. The five-digit mechanical
odometer shows 23k miles, and true mileage is unknown.
Exterior:
The car was repainted metallic orange with a black taillight panel
under previous ownership. The rear bumper was removed and the
mounting holes were filled, while an aftermarket air dam and a
body-color 240Z-style bumper were fitted up front. Additional
exterior details include black trim, tinted windows, and dual
Talbot Berlin-style mirrors.
Drivetrain:
The 6.2-liter LS3 V8 was reportedly installed in 2022 and is
equipped with Hooker headers and an aluminum radiator with an
electric fan. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 6L80
six-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential
that was sourced from a Nissan 300ZX. Black-finished aftermarket
16" wheels are mounted with 225/50 Achilles ATR Sport tires.
Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
