them. This 1970 Buick GS is the textbook example of those words, a
real-deal Gran Sport that has been modified to do two things: look
mean and BE mean. Buick's "Gran Sport" line had enough punch to
challenge the best of what the muscle car era had to offer, and
were some of the best-equipped cars to do so because of Buick's
position right below Cadillac. Sitting inside this Buick's engine
bay is a year-correct 455 C.I. behemoth of a V8, breathing well
through a 4-barrel carburetor and fuel injection for some real
asphalt-ripping power. That power is only built on with this car's
upgrades under the hood, equipped with lightweight aluminum heads,
an aluminum radiator, and fuel injection to top it all off. In
order to handle all that torque, an updated TH400 4-speed automatic
transmission shifts smoothly and seamlessly as it tears down the
road. The exterior's curvy early '70s bodylines are laser-straight,
and they're covered in a beautiful shade of gloss black that
reflects like a mirror in the sun. Those black appointments don't
stop at just the paint, though. A blacked-out grille and matching
blacked-out bumpers as well as chrome trim remove any semblance of
brightness from the car, leaving the only spots of illumination for
the headlights. Intimidating, indeed. Despite the lack of chrome,
the black paint accentuates this Buick's muscular contours and
sculpted bodylines extremely well. Rest assured, this Black Buick
turns heads. Additionally, this car's undercarriage is in fantastic
condition, with rock-solid floors, frame rails, trunk and door
jambs. Opening the twin doors and stepping inside takes this
Buick's black theme further, with a gorgeous black vinyl interior
and comfy bucket seats to seal the deal. The dark interior is
accentuated by good-looking woodgrain trim adorning the dashboard
and center console, a retro-style AM/FM digital radio lets you
crank the tunes, and working Vintage Air A/C keeps you cool during
your cruises! The car is outfitted with a sleek set of 18" black &
chrome 5-spoke wheels wrapped with blackwall tires to stay true to
this car's theme of intimidating any opponent on the street. Turn
