1990 UAZ-469 Why This Car Is Special The UAZ-469 is an off-road
military light utility vehicle manufactured by UAZ since 1971. It
was used by Soviet and other Warsaw Pact armed forces, as well as
paramilitary units in Eastern Bloc countries. In the Soviet Union,
it also saw widespread service in state organizations that needed a
robust and durable off-road vehicle. Standard military versions
included seating for seven personnel. We have a 1990 UAZ-469 here
at Skyway Classics that has been completely restored and is powered
by a 2.4 Turbo Diesel backed by a 4-speed manual transmission.
Features 1990 UAZ-469 2.4 Turbo Diesel Restored, painted, and very

four-wheel-drive system and transfer case Heater is present Jump
seats in the rear Soft top Military Green exterior paintwork Fender
Flares Side Steps Short overhangs Front windows, top half of the
doors and top are all removable Mechanical Our 1990 has a very
potent engine in it. It has a 2.4 Turbo Diesel that is plenty
strong backed by a 4-speed manual transmission with all sitting in
the restored, painted, and very detailed engine compartment. Power
is transferred by the 4-speed transfer putting the power of this
4WD to the ground via the polished mag wheels and large offroad
tires. Interior The interior follows the functional aesthetic of
the exterior, with black seats and a basic set of instrumentation
for minimal distractions. The gear lever for the manual
transmission is floor-mounted, as are two more levers for the
four-wheel-drive system and transfer case. A heater is present too,
which was a necessity in the cold Russian winters. It even has jump
seats in the rear and a soft top. Exterior Russian vehicles,
particularly those built during Soviet times have a very
distinctive look, where functionality takes precedence. This 1990
UAZ 469 is no different, with its Military Green exterior paintwork
and short overhangs. These vehicles were designed to brave the
harsh Russian terrain and weather conditions and were thus built to
be as simple and purposeful as possible. As the pictures show, this
is a four-door convertible. The front windows, top half of the
doors and canvas top are all removable, providing an interesting
open-air experience. Conclusion The restored UAZ-469 we have here
at Skyway Classics presents two great advantages as it is able to
drive in virtually any terrain and it is very easy to repair. The
vehicle was originally not available for purchase by the public,
but many were sold as surplus to private owners. You surely won€t
pull up alongside one in traffic anywhere and it sure does attract
attention wherever you do take it to. Be prepared to answer a lot
of questions! So give us a call at 941-254-6608. Disclaimer
