Upon the release of Porsche's 959 supercar, it was clear the rest of the marque's models were due for a refresh (the rest of the world took notice as well). With a grand touring, daily-drivable persona thanks to all wheel drive an adjustable suspension along with astonishing performance thanks to a 450hp twin-turbocharged flat-six, the 959 provided a glance into the future of what sports cars could be. Naturally, the company was quick to update the 911 using knowledge gained from the 959 program. The result was the 964, a car which boasted styling and mechanical elements from the 959 at a much more affordable price.

Approximately 85% of the G-Series was changed in the 964's design. New chassis and suspension designs sharpened handling, while the motor was upgraded to 3.6 liters to produce 250hp. ABS, power steering, driver/passenger airbags, an optional automatic transmission, and a new, automatically deploying spoiler vastly improved safety and drivability. Three-point safety belts and a third brake lamp were later accompanied by airbags, though the first-year 964s went without. To showcase the new car's technological advancements, the first 964s were the new Carrera 4 all wheel drive model. Only produced from 1989 through 1994, the 964 pairs classic 911 design with a remarkably modern interior. It is of no surprise, therefore, it is a popular choice for critics and enthusiasts alike.

The incredible 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Sunroof Coupe featured here is finished in gorgeous Slate Grey Metallic over a Silk Grey leather interior featuring Black piping. This exquisite 911 has been meticulously maintained and was subject to a comprehensive service in 2024. Today, this investment-grade Porsche drives and performs as new and is among one of the finest examples we've had the pleasure of offering in years. We proudly offer this remarkable 911 Carrera 4 to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires to own one of the very best!
