1973 Detomaso Pantera - a single owner for the past 25 years,
purchased in California from PI Motorsports in 1999, it received
professional care and maintenance at PI Motorsports for the first
four years.
In 2024, significant mechanical improvements and maintenance,
totaling $15,000, were performed at Pantera Miami and Pantera
International Motorsports in California. Receipts of work is
available upon request. With a current mileage of 58,522, the car
has seen extensive recent work, including completely rebuilt brakes
and calipers, new Michelin Pilot Super Sport PS2 tires with only 50
miles on them, a newly rebuilt carburetor, a complete tune-up with
all fluids changed, a new high-quality battery, and a rebuilt
starter.
The vehicle's past upgrades include four coil-over adjustable
shocks, urethane bushings replacing all rubber bushings, custom PIM
rims to accommodate larger tires, and a 351 Cleveland engine
stroked to a 408, producing approximately 580 hp with features like
an Edelbrock manifold, Holley 750 double pumper, custom 4-inch
straight pipe exhaust, roller rockers, electronic ignition,
competition cam, and Australian 4V closed chambered heads. Enhanced
cooling comes from a high-capacity radiator and two additional
electric fans, while the air conditioning system has been upgraded
to a modern rotary system.
The Alpine stereo system includes an amplifier, six speakers, and
Bluetooth connectivity. Additional improvements include steering
bushings and a recent color sand and polish with professional
