For Sale: 1966 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova in Knoxville, Tennessee

Vehicle Description

REDUCED PRICE! 1966 Chevy II 400 Series two-door hardtop Sport Coupe (Restomod)

Countless hours were spent grinding, welding and fitting the doors, hood, and trunk seams before priming, blocking, sealing and painting the body with a pure base coat of white and clear coat. All the stainless and chrome were reconditioned, buffed and polished to new condition. The glass in the car is new with a slight tint.

Inside the car the builder chose to combine a gorgeous red with white stripe theme that fits perfectly with the originality. Yet when used with the rolled, tucked, and bolstered 1967 model bucket seats, it blends with the modern touches of Dakota Digital Instrumentation and updated Bluetooth stereo system with Classis Sound. Note: I have never used the radio system. The tilt column offers convenient steering wheel location for multiple drivers' sizes and is finished with a classic three-spoke custom steering wheel. Comfort control is handled by Vintage Air HVAC system, and the bright red carpeting covers has deadening sound material which is installed throughout the interior. The red and white theme was carried over to the trunk with the rear mounted battery and electrical components hidden by a well-designed but easily removed panel.

The undercarriage of this classic car is clean and well-appointed as is the interior with a 6.0-litre LS fuel-injected contemporary powerplant backed up by a Tremec T56 6-speed manual transmission. Rear axle is a beefy 9" Ford housing holding a posi-trac 3.73 gear set with additional tire clearance provided by custom widened wheel tubs to fit the beefy, polished American Racing Torque Thrust 5-spoke wheels. With the healthy engine and multiple gear rations of the T56 transmission, this is a spirited driving machine. All that performance would be nil without an equally impressive suspension and brake setup. The car is fitted with a complete TCI bolt-on front subframe with racing style tubular control arms, double adjustable coil-over shocks for ride control. Last but not least, car has an ample set of performance Wilwood disc brakes all the way around for bringing this beauty to a quick stop if needed.

This car is as quick as it is nimble, handling turns like a corvette. The interior is well appointed and comfortable. The builders were careful in bringing steering, shifter, and pedal positions just right to add to the beauty of the car.

Current owner has added red accents to the exterior of the car for contrast since purchased in April, 2022 from original owner who had the car built.  Car was "completely" white.

  • Custom Painted pin stripes with "Nova"
  • Red accents added to the previous white engine covers, and rear SS trunk molding
  • Stage 2 Brian Tooley racing camshaft kit. New oil pump, timing chain, water pump, thermostat, and spark plugs were installed at the same time.
  • New magna-flow mufflers.

Engine said to have 34,xxx miles before build. Now showing ~5,657 since the build which should be around ~40,000 miles. I have owned the car a little over 2 years and have put around ~3,000 miles on it.
