Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is proud to present this 1976
Chevrolet Vega. Being number 2,572 out of 3,508 that they built,
this Vega is ready for a person just entering the classic car
world. Typically these Vegas came with a 122 CID inline 4 cylinder
engine, however the owner decided to swap that for a 4.3 liter Gen
2 roller V6. To go with the much higher added muscle that was put
under the hood, the transmission was swapped out for Saganaw
4-speed manual transmission, allowing you to bang through the gears
with force. Other parts that were added or replaced when both the
transmission and engine were being replaced are; radiator, front
shocks, brake lines, water pump, clutch, oil cooler, front coil
springs, pistons, and bearings. The car is is sporting a black
paint exterior which is parried with a black vinyl interior. When
looking at the car, it still has it's original dash, which consist
of no cracks but the woodgrain finish is faded. the Vega cosmetics
have remained the same essentially since coming off the lot,
however the mechanics of the car have been modified quite
extensively and well kept up with, making it a great car for anyone
entering into the classic car world. So come snag up this 1976
Chevrolet Vega and and take home one of the few Vegas that are
still around.
