We are proud to offer this 1957 Ford Thunderbird according to the information we received it appears this vehicle has never left California and retains Blue Ca Plates . It was originally Sold by Hollywood Motors in Hollywood, CA our docs only go back to the 80’s but possibly what stories could this car tell who in Hollywood bought it in 1957 ?? The car was a Fully Loaded example a copy of the window sticker shows it was finished in the iconic color combo of White with Tuxedo interior, it was originally ordered with Power
Steering and Power Brakes ( a Front Disc Brake Conversion was Added to improve Stopping Power), Engine Dress Up Kit, Wonderbar radio, Power Seat and Power Windows which were a very expensive option that many T-Birds today were not originally equipped with because of the cost. Those items may get added later but finding one with its original order is RARE !
As a recent purchase by the owner the car has professionally been gone through with extensive receipts totally over $22,000 in 2 years. Brakes and Suspension including shocks, bushings , ball joints, tie rods etc were done, its electrical system was rebuilt and new petronix ignition added, it’s cooling system was redone with new aluminum radiator hoses, thermostat etc, the fuel delivery system was gone through with new tank, carb and lines etc…
The car was the baby of its current owner and he spent some significant money to make it right and very reliable after just a few trips up the coast to Santa Barabra and beyond coupled with a few cruise nights and car shows the car is now for sale. It runs and drives great, looks spectacular. It was restored by its previous owner and is nice although some chips , nicks and age from ware can be found. The engine runs strong and transmission shifts great. From what we can tell a buyer purchased the car from the Therp Collection in Dublin, CA in 1989 and owned and maintained it ever since till our client purchased it in 2022.
