Very nice, 1-owner 1988 Chevrolet Suburban for sale with replacement crate engine, rebuilt transmission, new paint and so much more! This California Suburban was purchased new at Bob Williams Chevrolet in Lemoore, California with an original MSRP of $22,450 and finished in Frost White with Aspen Blue accent and blue cloth interior. Nicely optioned with Silverado Equipment Package, 7.4 L electronic fuel injected V8, 3-speed automatic transmission, heavy-duty front stabilizer bar, rear axle 3.73 ratio, 40-gallon fuel tank, heavy-duty radiator and transmission oil cooler, front and rear air conditioning, deep tinted glass, center, and rear seat, electric tailgate window, color-keyed floor mats, intermittent wipers, rear window defogger, electronic speed control, tilt steering, AM/FM stereo radio with cassette and clock, deluxe front and rear bumpers, operating convenience package, exterior decor package and blue custom recliner seats along with dealer added chrome wheels and running boards. It includes the original sales documents, factory window sticker, books and manuals, brochures, and a plethora of maintenance documentation.
The new replacement crate engine has 39k miles and starts, runs, and idles smoothly with plenty of power. The transmission was rebuilt at that time and shifts flawlessly through the gears. All mechanical systems are in good working order and after shooting the photos we installed a new air compressor and evaporator and the front/rear air conditioning is blowing ice cold. Braking and suspension are tight and responsive. It rides on slotted chrome wheels wrapped in an older set of Michelin Radial TAs, LT235/85 R16's that have ample tread yet should be replaced due to age. This is a wonderful driving Suburban ready to enjoy.
The 2015 repaint shows well and has a brilliant shine. The truck is rust-free all around and the undercarriage is immaculate. The trim, chrome, and stainless show well. There is a small area that was touched up on the top edge of the tailgate yet this Suburban still looks great all around.
The interior is in very nice condition and quite comfortable. All gauges and switches are in good working order and the rebuilt air conditioning system is ice-cold. The front driver's seat has been recovered and the passenger front seat is now showing wear. A new headliner was just installed. The door panels, cards, and miscellaneous trim around this Suburban are in nice shape and present well and the rear seating surfaces are in excellent condition and provide tons of room with a 60/40 rear split seat and the way back seat removable. This has been a non-smoker vehicle since new, it's very comfortable on even the longest trips.
