Vehicle Description
1956 Chevrolet Belair Hardtop
If you are in the market for a classic but want something that is
just as much of an investment as a fun toy then you can't go wrong
with the tri-five Chevrolets. These cars are very popular and as
time goes on just become more rare and more valuable. In this
economy you need good investments and a classic car like this will
hold its value for many many years to come. What else can you buy
in today's age where you can actually get your money back or make
money after enjoying it for years? This classic 1956 Chevrolet
Belair is in very good condition and is the car you want to have if
you are looking for a top of the line Chevrolet. Not only is it a
Belair but a hardtop making it just that much more valuable. The
current owner purchased the vehicle in 2013. Both them and the
prior owner lived in Texas. It was originally restored in 1998 and
has been very well maintained since. It is stored indoors under a
car cover and the owner regularly drives it at least 100 miles a
month to exercise it. The body is very sold and is coated in that
classic two tone Red and White. The paint is laid down nicely and
looks good. The front and rear bumpers have a great shine with no
chipping of the chrome. All of the correct stainless trim is
cleanly mounted in place and in good condition. The car also comes
with fender skirts which create a great side profile look that you
just can't beat. All of the emblems are in place including the
classic 56 hood ornament. The glass on the car is damage free
except for the driver's side door window which has a vertical
crack. The exterior electrical works well and with no problems.
This classic has a great looking stance and rides around on a set
of original style wheels with hubcaps and cool wide white wall
tires.
Powering this classic down the road is the original style 265 V8
that has been gone through to insure it runs nice and smooth. The
block, heads, and manifolds are all painted a nice dark red to
create a very clean appearance and match the car. The valve covers
are also Red and are topped with "Chevrolet" lettering in silver.
The vintage air cleaner is coated Black and is even topped with the
original style decal. The wiring and hoses are all nicely routed
throughout the engine compartment which has been coated Black. The
car always runs nice and cool with an added electric push fan in
place. A 3 speed manual transmission is in place and utilizes the
very fun to drive "3 on the tree" style shifter. The car recently
received a new gas tank, sending unit, fill neck ring gasket and
the radiator has been rebuilt with a new electric fan.
The interior of the car is done in the vintage style with a two
tone Red and off White cloth and vinyl. Matching red seat belts are
in place and the bench seats are very comfortable. The headliner
and carpeting is in just as nice condition and shows virtually zero
wear and tear. The dash of the car is all original with the correct
style radio, knobs, gauges, and switches. To avoid cutting up the
dash a custom AM/FM/CD player has been mounted in the glove box.
The original style steering wheel looks great in place with a
polished horn button.
The trunk of the car on this classic is just as nicely done being
painted in White and topped with a nice rubberized mat. It houses a
spare wheel and allows plenty of storage space. It comes with a lot
of neat extras like a copy of the original sales contract dated
March 12, 1969, the owners manual, an original 1956 Chevy paint
chart, receipts, maintenance records and more!
It could be yours for $37,750.00!
