Description:
This 1967 Volkswagen Beetle was refurbished and modified under
previous ownership and is powered by a replacement air-cooled
2,210cc flat-four equipped with dual Weber-style carburetors,
electronic ignition, a serpentine belt kit, a full-flow oiling
system, and a merged header exhaust system. The body is finished in
pearl orange and features earlier-style front fenders, billet
ribbed bumpers, aftermarket side-view mirrors, and a roof rack,
while the interior has been fitted with bolstered Recaro bucket
seats and incorporates an EMPI trigger-style shifter, a Bosch
tachometer, and a Dual CD stereo linked to Pioneer speakers.
Additional details include 15? five-spoke alloy wheels, four-wheel
disc brakes, an adjustable front axle beam, and dropped
spindles.
Interior:
Inside, a pair of bolstered Recaro bucket seats sourced from a MK2
Volkswagen Jetta have been fitted and feature adjustable sliders
and lap belts. Additional interior elements consist of an EMPI
trigger-style shifter, polished door sill trim, and a Dual CD
stereo linked to Pioneer speakers in the rear cargo area. The
aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel wears an EMPI horn button
and frames a 90-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge, while a
Bosch tachometer is located below the dashboard. The five-digit
mechanical odometer shows 17k miles, and true mileage is
unknown.
Exterior:
The body was fitted with earlier-style front fenders with shaved
turn signals and refinished in House of Kolor Orange Pearl under
previous ownership, per the seller. Exterior details include billet
ribbed bumpers, aftermarket side-view mirrors, earlier-style
beltline trim, Cal-Look window rubber, billet running boards, a
roof rack, and silver side graphics with EMPI globe logos.
Overrider bracket holes are present in the front apron and rear
fenders.
Drivetrain:
The replacement air-cooled 2210cc flat-four is equipped with dual
Weber-style carburetors, electronic ignition, a serpentine belt
kit, and a merged header exhaust system with J-tubes and a "Phat
Boy" muffler. The engine utilizes a full-flow oiling system with a
spin-on oil filter adapter, an extended-capacity oil sump, and an
external oil cooler with a cooling fan. Power is sent to the rear
wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. Polished 15?
five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with 135-series Michelin ZX
tires up front and 205/70 Fully HP208 rubber out back. The car is
equipped with an adjustable front axle beam, dropped spindles, and
four-wheel disc brakes.
