Description:
This 1976 Datsun 280Z is powered by a 2.8-liter inline-six paired
with a retrofitted five-speed manual transmission, and it has been
repainted in red and modified with 240Z-style bumpers, a front air
dam, fender-mounted side mirrors, 14 Watanabe R-Type wheels,
aftermarket suspension components, an aluminum radiator, a SoFlo
adjustable differential mount, a gear-reduction starter, VintageAir
air conditioning, a Retro Sound stereo head unit, and a Bose
trunk-mounted subwoofer. Additional details consist of white vinyl
upholstery, bucket seats, power-assisted front disc brakes, and
stainless-steel rear exhaust components.
Laminated service records from Soflo Z detailing over $12k of
repairs and modifications are included in the sale.
Interior:
The cabin features bucket seats trimmed in white vinyl along with a
color-coordinated headliner, door cards, and rear interior panels.
Black carpets line the footwells, and additional appointments
consist of an aluminum shift knob, VintageAir air conditioning, and
a Retro Sound stereo head unit linked with aftermarket rear
speakers and a trunk-mounted Bose subwoofer. The interior
electrical system was re-wired recently as well.
Exterior:
The car was previously finished in black, and it was subsequently
repainted in the current shade of red. Full rust remediation has
been performed within the last year. A front air dam, 240Z-style
bumpers, and fender-mounted side mirrors have been added, and
additional exterior details consist of Z C-pillar badges, a rear
window defroster, and twin stainless-steel exhaust outlets. Paint
correction was performed on the front air dam.
Drivetrain:
The 2.8-liter L28 inline-six features Bosch L-Jetronic fuel
injection and it has been fitted with a cold-air intake,
replacement gear-reduction starter, silicone coolant hoses, a fuel
pressure regulator, and an aluminum radiator with a shroud and
electric cooling fans. recent work on the car consists of a valve
adjustment as well as replacing the valve cover gasket, rear main
seal, and engine mounts. The 14 Watanabe R-Type wheels are mounted
with 225/50 Toyo R888 tires. The car comes with fully customizable
T3 suspension, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs
and rear drums. Polyurethane mustache bar bushings were fitted and
the wheel bearings were replaced at all four corners recently.
