Chevrolet Impala SS. The first Impala rolled off the assembly line
in 1958 and became an instant hit in the full-size market segment
for General Motors. Spanning ten generations with the last Impala
model manufactured in 2020. This third generation Impala was
produced from 1961-1964. The 1962 model featured "C" pillar styling
and a wraparound rear window. One distinctive feature of the '62
was the full-width aluminum and chrome panel to house the triple
taillight assembly. This 1962 Chevrolet Impala SS is painted in
artic white with "SS" badging and trim. The red cloth interior
sports bucket seats, center console, AM/FM radio, and an
aftermarket gauge package including tach, oil , water and volts.
Under the hood of this beauty is a 6.0 LS 366ci V-8 attached to a
700R4 automatic transmission. All attached to an Eaton posi 370
rear gear. Added features include front seatbelts, power steering,
and power brakes.
