350 V8 engine and original factory options including automatic
transmission, power disc brakes, power steering, power windows,
AM/FM radio with power antenna and dual rear speakers, removable
'Smoke Gray' glass T-Tops and air conditioning! 'America's only
true sports car' was 25 years old in 1978 and Chevrolet observed
the milestone by fitting a special commemorative emblem to all
Corvettes that year. This particular example's 'Silver Anniversary'
edition is very striking and the car's original Red leather
interior and trim is also in very good condition throughout in rare
all original and stock shape with its original factory radio!The
car will be sold with extra keys and owners manual, and a thick
file of service records showing at no time was any expense spared
on this particular car's preventive maintenance history, The car
received a full recent service at 63,282 miles (100 miles ago) at
'Newman Motorsports' of Upland, CA where the car has been serviced
for many years, and also passed its CA smog certification. The
engine was also rebuilt at 62,396 miles at 'One Stop Motors' of
Upland, CA in 2021 with engine removed and disassembled, machine
shop reconditioning the heads and replacing the pistons. New
pistons at .030. (Cost $7,919.43)The car is an absolute pleasure to
drive without any of the older Corvette typical shakes or rattles -
a great daily driver that will give any modern day sports car a run
for its money!
