-Guards Red with Black leather interior, Black carpeting, 34,000
original miles, 915 5-speed manual, Rare M491 Factory Turbo Look,
Pristine Condition.
The Carrera 3.2 is admired as the pinnacle development of the
original 911 that first appeared in 1963. These final G-Series cars
replaced the SC Series cars in 1984. They were the last of the
original Porsche 911 design before the 964 bodies launched in 1990.
All Carrera 3.2s feature galvanized bodies, which ensure that these
classics are long lasting.
This original factory optioned M491 Turbo-Look Carrera Coupe is
extremely rare, even more so in this condition and with low
mileage. Due to emissions restrictions during the early to
mid-1980's, the 911 Turbo cars were not legal for US importation.
In 1984, Porsche resurrected the M491 option giving these cars
everything the Turbo cars had but with a normally aspirated 3.2L
flat six engines. This extremely rare option cost about $12,000 at
the time.
Additional factory options include: All Leather Interior, Power
Door Locks, Power Seat (Right), Cruise Control, Alarm System and
Electric Sunroof. This 911 has also been upgraded with H4 European
headlamps and Painted Rings, Momo Prototipo Steering Wheel and
Stainless Steel Dual Output Sport Muffler
This 1985 911 Carrera Coupe has benefited from proper maintenance
and care and has been well known to Autosport Designs for some
time. This 911 shows very little wear. Body, paint, and interior
are all in excellent condition. Fully serviced and maintained, it
is ready for concours or regular road use. It is complete with
certificate of authenticity, original window sticker, original
books, manuals, service history, spare wheel, and tools.
