This 2002 Cape Advanced Vehicles (CAV) GT40 is a stunning machine
that serves as a tribute to the iconic Ford GT40, finished in a
breathtaking LeMans Blue exterior complemented by a sleek black
leather interior. With under 13,000 miles on the clock, this
meticulously maintained vehicle is both a visual and engineering
marvel, featuring a stainless monocoque chassis that exemplifies
precision and durability.
Under the hood, this GT40 boasts a robust Ford Racing 302 engine
with a 331 stroke kit, delivering exceptional performance. The
engine, enhanced with a Holley double pumper carburetor and a Kevko
racing sump, runs smoothly and powerfully, making every drive
exhilarating. The Audi 016 transaxle, upgraded with better gearing
and a Porsche 930 LSD, ensures optimal power delivery and handling.
Additional features include custom poly engine mounts for added
stability, Mallory electronic ignition with an RPM limit set to
5,750, and a ceramic-coated stainless steel exhaust system to keep
engine bay temperatures low. This powerhouse starts easily and
accelerates like a freight train, with well-spaced gearing allowing
for relaxed cruising at highway speeds.
Inside, the cabin features standard CAV spec black leather seats,
providing both comfort and style. The LeMans Blue paint, though
showing a few minor rock chips, maintains its striking appearance.
The upgraded Momo 13-inch steering wheel enhances driver control,
while the standard CAV air conditioning and heating system ensures
comfort in any weather. The interior is well-appointed, with all
gauges and lights functioning perfectly, and the pedal box has been
rebuilt and powder-coated for added durability. The fit and finish
throughout the vehicle are impressive, with excellent body gaps and
fully operational lights and gauges.
The CAV GT40's suspension has been fully upgraded with adjustable
components, including fabricated steel uprights from CAV Canada,
which are essential for track performance and significantly improve
the vehicle's geometry. The powder-coated front A-arms and
adjustable rear A-arms ensure precise alignment and handling,
making this GT40 a joy to drive on both street and track. Equipped
with standard CAV 6-pin wheels and Mickey Thompson tires, this
vehicle offers excellent grip and stability. The alignment is set
for friendly street driving with no pulling or bump steer, ensuring

This CAV GT40 was imported to the U.S. in 2002, originally residing
in Georgia, then moving to Washington State where many of its
upgrades were completed by a renowned race shop. It later found its
home in Michigan, always garaged in a heated environment and
meticulously cared for by its adult owners. With a clear title and
registration as a "1966 Ford Mark I," this car avoids emissions
testing in most states, offering hassle-free ownership. This fully
