The Ford pickup truck received a major styling upgrade for 1950 that included a 3 spoke steering wheel that was 18 inches wide, double acting shock absorbers and a 20-gallon fuel tank. The 1950 Ford F3 was the introduction of the three-quarter ton pickup, also known as the heavy-duty series, even though payload capabilities were not much greater than its half ton siblings. Motors choices for the year included a flathead 6 cylinder or a flathead V-8 239 cubic inch motor that produced 100 horsepower, that is the motor this pickup has. Transmissions were available in a manual 4 speed only. A total of 21,200 F3 series pickups were built for this model year.
This Ford has been fully restored and finished in blue paint with chrome and blacked out accents, complimented with a stock interior including brown leather bench seat with floor mounted shifter and original gauges. The exterior has stock wheels and tires with a finished wood bed and new chrome accents with polished stainless steel. Specimens of this caliber are becoming increasingly rare; with original steel bodies that are rust free.
