Vehicle Description
"The Country Squires are aristocrats of the wagon world. Their
styling is almost classic, their luxury unsurpassed. Both the 6-
and 9-passenger Squires have the distinctive body trim that richly
resembles wood but requires none of its care. They boost interiors
of rich deep-pleated, mylar-accented fabrics...elegantly carpeted
floors...power tailgate windows...electric clocks...backup
lights...all standard equipment, of course." -1963 Ford
Brochure
This 1963 Ford Country Squire 6-Passenger Wagon was purchased at
Sunset Auto Company in May of 1963. Eventually ending up at a
classic car dealership in Florida at the beginning of 1990 and sold
to a collector who kept it for approximately 10 years who
subsequently sold it to the current owner. The odometer of this
Raven Black Country Squire is showing just 78,450 miles and
documented to be original.
The Raven Black Paint and the applied faux woodgrain trim (Di-Noc)
presents very well throughout the car, the woodgraining has been
re-defined on the front section of each of the front fenders but
overall, this car remains in original configuration.
The red interior with front bench seat also presents very well with
no areas of excessive wear. This car features power steering and a
factory AM radio. The smooth running 289 cubic inch V-8 motor is
mated to a Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission. The underside of
the car is solid with remnants of older undercoating.
Very well documented, this classic Ford Country Squire Wagon is a
pleasure to drive and is a very original example of a rare sixties
wagon.
