Vehicle Description
1979 Chevrolet Corvette Why This Car Is Special The Chevrolet
Corvette (C3) was a sports car that was produced by Chevrolet for
the 1968 through 1982 model years. Engines and chassis components
were mostly carried over from the previous generation, but the body
and interior were new. The grey 1979 Chevrolet Corvette custom we
have at Skyway Classics saw the return of the crossed-flag emblems
on the nose and fuel door as well as three popular features
introduced on the '78 pace car replicas, the new bucket seats, the
front and rear spoiler package, and the glass roof panels. Our 79
has seen a restoration with paint and interior, original wheels,
Cooper Cobra tires, custom Greenwood hood, front and rear upgraded
to 81 models, and dual exhaust. Features 1979 Chevrolet Corvette

engine in our Vette is the base 350 cubic inch L-48 engine which
generated 195 horsepower back then. Output for all engines
increased due to new 'open flow' mufflers. The engine has chrome
valve covers, chrome performance intake, 4-barrel carb, Mallory
performance ignition and distributor, and Edelbrock chrome air
cleaner assembly, air conditioning, and sits in a nice engine
compartment. Our 79 Vette rides on Cooper Cobra GT Radial tires
mounted on the factory wheels, with a great exhaust note emanating
from the true dual exhaust system tips in the rear. Interior The
custom red/black interior features €high back€ seats with great
side bolster and provide easier access to the rear storage area,
and the seat pair resulted in a weight reduction of about 24
pounds. It has a red factory dash with all the performance gauges,
tilt wheel, red leather steering wheel, red carpeting and red floor
mats, great stereo system with its AM-FM radio, power windows,
power seats, great matching red door panels, power windows and
locks, and the automatic shifter in the red factory center console.
Exterior The darker grey paint looks great with the custom
Greenwood fresh air hood, and the front and rear upgraded to 81
models. It is a one-of-a-kind treatment that will attract a lot of
conversation when you are at the car shows. The bolt-on front and
rear spoilers were offered as an option and functionally the
spoilers decrease drag by about 15% and increased fuel economy by
about a half-mile per gallon. The roof T-tops are painted a
matching grey body color also. Conclusion If you are looking for a
