For Sale: 1957 Chevrolet Pickup in Lakewood, Colorado

Vehicle Description

The truck is offered for sale having been with the current owner since 2009, having previously spent its life a time entirely in California, hence no rust. It is basically a restomod pickup with a modified short block V8 crate 350cu.in engine tuned to 383cu.in, with a 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor. Just about everything mechanical and electrical wiring is has been replaced and often improved (see the following  list  of everything worked  on, new or replaced.. It was body off from front bumper to windshield for the new front end installation including an independent front spring/coil suspension, power steering and disc brakes (the rear brakes are drum). Steering is a rebuilt rack and pinion with power assist added. Rear end is a carbon coated Ford axle with a tubbed truck bed. The tires are slightly bigger on the rear axle which also has spacers, complete with new shock absorbers and springs. The original bed was replaced with a new red oak one. It comes with a custom made bed tonneau cover and a full custom, all weather body cover. Cab has a newly installed sun shield over the windshield. Tires are new Cooper Cobra. The cab seat and roof lining are are reupholstered. All front bumper and grille parts are chromed and new. The body was repainted and livery striped. Driver's door lock needs attention and there are a few cosmetic issues but not essential, body has a few dimples. It has a new, much larger capacity radiator which is wired with a thermostat to a large new cooling fan. An engine kill switch was added. A full list of work done over the years is documented with receipts and is available as are all records upon sale. I am not a mechanic; all the work was carried out by professional classic vehicle experts and restorers. The total investment over the years far exceeds the asking price. It looks and drives well, receives considerable attention when on the road or is parked, with appreciation and questions.

Fun to own, well cared for and maintained and drive and bolder now is my only reason for selling the truck.

The truck is a very reliable "Daily Driver", starts on the button (new battery this year). It drives well with the 3 speed automatic gear shift and the power steering always receiving big rig driver's headlight flashes, or thumbs up from other drivers and pedestrians, plus many appreciations and questions at gas pumps and when seen in parking lots. Fun to own and drive but now I am considerably older and that is the only reasons for selling is my age. Buyer can either collect in the Denver area or arrange for it to be shipped.
