This car runs and drives like the day it was built, with the
odometer just turning over 31,000 miles. It is equipped with a
110hp, 1,984-cc four-cylinder engine and features a four-speed
manual transmission. The removable tilt sunroof is in excellent
condition with no leaks, and the folding headlights work perfectly.
The survivor-grade Bahama Blue exterior still looks great, though
it has a few minor faults typical of a survivor. The interior is in
extremely nice, untouched condition, with an original Blaupunkt
cr.4091 AM/FM radio that works fine and an 8-track player that is
intact but could use some attention. The carpet and floor mats are
outstanding, and the seats, headliner, and door panels are in
superb condition. All rubber body seals are pliable. Maintained as
original, this 924 is eligible for the Porsche Club of America car
show concours category, with long-term maintenance provided by
Kelly Moss Porsche Motorsports and Auto Racing facility in Madison,
WI.
Historically significant as the Porsche 924, originally the
Porsche-designed VW project EA425, this car was the first
front-engine, water-cooled Porsche, marking the start of a new era.
The design evolved into the 944, then the 968, continuing the
platform's production until 1995. Known as "the Poor Man's Porsche
924," it is regarded as a successful and affordable classic
Porsche. Heavily documented with a slew of receipts, the original
owner cherished this car for 40 years. Sold in unprecedented
numbers in Porsche history, with 7,496 of the 25,000 produced in
1977 sold in the US, this is a rare chance to own a piece of
