Vehicle Description
Man, this thing is MINT!!! This pretty little 1955 International
R-100 pick up is a rare sight in this market full of classic Ford
and Chevy pickups. The International Harvester Company was better
well known for its tractors and farm equipment before it expanded
into vehicle production. These trucks were meant for work and were
built to basic but reliable and heavy duty. There are no frills
here, just an honest to goodness pickup for farmers to take their
produce to market and back out into the countryside. This beautiful
1955 model for sale here is finished in a beautiful mint green with
matching painted steel wheels with stainless caps. It has the
optional side mount spare and drivers side tow mirror. Inside is a
brown vinyl bench seat, gages for fuel, amps, oil pressure and
coolant temperature, a tachometer to keep an eye on revs, and
that's about it. No radio, no AC, however this International does
have the optional under dash heater. Under the hood is the
workhorse Silver Diamond inline six-cylinder engine. This was an
overhead valve engine introduced for 1950 and displaced 220 cubic
inches while producing 100hp mated to a three-speed column shifted
manual transmission. While not a race truck by any means, this big
six is smooth and quiet while making good torque for towing and
hauling as it was mint(all puns intended) to be. This truck would
be a great purchase for show or pleasure driving use. Would be a
great vehicle for trips to the hardware store or put your business
name on the door and everyone in town will know you because of the
truck! Contact Brian at 352-307-1968 and get behind the wheel
