Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this stunning 1977 Ford Mustang Cobra II which is in beautiful stock condition with only 68,151 Actual Miles. Per the factory buck tag this Mustang is a Factory Cobra II with Factory White and Red paint with factory 302 Engine and 4 speed manual transmission. This Cobra II was owned by one lady from 1979 until 7/2024. This is a two owner car with the last owner having the car for 45 years.
Under 1500 miles were added in the last 30 years while the car was parked in her garage in Florida. Earlier this year over $3,000 was spent on getting the car road worthy and ready for sale. Recent service records are available for maintenance performed. This Mustang features a very nice repaint in the Factory White and Red Cobra II paint scheme, an original White/Red vinyl interior, and a 302 Engine and factory 4 speed transmission. This Mustang is finished in the very sought after color combination of White and Red over White/Red vinyl interior.
Exterior
The White/Red Cobra II exterior is in very nice overall condition. This Mustang was treated to a professional repaint years ago but still has a fantastic finish, shine and a smooth gloss. The paint is in great overall condition and the Cobra II package really sets this Mustang apart from the others. The gaps and lines are excellent on this car and the doors shut nicely. This Cobra is solid and was rust proofed when new. The underside is solid as well and in great condition with lots of undercoating still in tact. Both bumpers are in good overall shape. The tires are new with full tread left and the OEM wheels are original and in good overall condition. All weather stripping and window sweeps appear to be original and still functional. The hatch works as it should and the struts hold up the hatch easily and new hatch struts were just installed. All glass is in good condition.
Interior
The White/Red vinyl interior of this Mustang is mostly original and in great overall condition. The seat covers are original and in great condition with no excessive wear, rips or fading. The original carpet is in good overall condition with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in great condition with no cracks, no warping, and no fading. The stereo sounds great and thankfully the dash was not cut for a modern stereo. The original door panels are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is in great overall shape and not falling down anywhere and no rips. All interior and exterior lights and gauges work as they should including the overhead light. The stereo, wipers, and blower motor on all speeds works. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This Mustang is in very nice mechanical condition and runs and drives very nicely. Over $3,000 was spent recently sorting the car in preparation for sale after car sat for over 30 years in a garage in Florida and only being lightly driven. The 302 engine runs well and appears to be mostly in stock condition. Here are some items that were addressed earlier this years. A new gas tank was installed along with a new fuel pump and fuel lines. A new HEI distributor was added with new spark plugs and new wires. Original carb. was rebuilt and works well. New tires were added and balanced properly. A new starter was added. Brakes were fully serviced including a new brake booster and new master cylinder. New calipers and pads and hoses, new brake shoes and pads, etc. A newer battery was added. New rear hatch struts were added. Copies of service records receipts come with the car. The exhaust on this Cobra appears to be factory original and still in nice shape and seems to work well. The brakes were recently serviced and stop well and do not pull to either side while stopping. The emergency brake works as it should and holds the car properly. We have driven this car several times and it performs well and is always a joy to drive. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Mustang is a good driver which feels good on the road. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs good. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. The engine bay is mostly stock as well as is the underside. There are several original markings and tags around the car showing its originality.
