2006 Ford Mustang Shelby GT-H number 106 of 500. To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Hertz Rent-a-racer program 500 of these Mustang Shelby GT-H’s were available to be rented at select locations scattered amongst the United States. This car still has all the Hertz tags, and stickers intact and in place, including the anti theft twisted wire from the engine to the suspension cross bar, and the no smoking logo on the Center dash power outlet. This is not a perfect car but it is one you can still get in and drive it and still go up in value just because of its pedigreed, which is in the Shelby Registry. This car is currently in Western Canada and has been since 2007 when it was auctioned off from the rental company. Since this car already has had a US title importing it back into the United States is a lot easier then one would think. For that matter as the current owner would be willing to bring it across the border into Montana for a negotiated fee.
this car has the 4.6L single overhead cam but tuned by Shelby to 325hp. Backed by an automatic transmission and a tuned suspension. The Hertz safety features are still intact, the TCS switch is disabled, and is governed to a top speed (even though there is no legal speed limit in Canada to know where that governed limit is).
the flaws;
Each rim has corrosion spots from wheel weights but no curb rash.
fuel gauge won’t come down past 3/4 tank.
scratch in the upper left rear quarter panel.
before leaving the Hertz Fleet the stripes where redone at a body shop in LasVegas this was not a top quality job to my standards. I do have a brand new stripe set that will go with the car.
