Vehicle Description
2010 Chevrolet Camaro 1LT RS Coupe
Some cultures regard orange as a sacred color because it balances
red's power and yellow's perfection. Orange is also a symbol of
royalty. The royal family in the Netherlands used to hold the
principality of Orange as the House of Orange-Nassau, so orange is
the country's national color. Because orange has high energy and
increases competitiveness, many sports teams choose orange for
their branding. Orange also warns of danger used in safety
equipment. Thx to hunterlab.com
For consignment, a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro 1LT RS coupe in Inferno
Orange and in unmodified condition. This has all the appeal of the
first year Gen 3 Camaro and a powerful V6 power plant under the
hood. All the fun and better gas mileage too!
Exterior
Bold and new for 2010, the 3rd generation Camaro didn't borrow from
the previous generation, instead reaching back to first gen for
inspiration and adjusted proportions for the modern age. In blazing
Inferno Orange, color covers nearly every inch including the bumper
covers, the door handles, and the side mirrors. Black accents
include the grille, fog light bezels, and rear splitter and
metallic cues are found only in the 20-inch wheels, Bowtie emblem,
side nameplates, and taillight bezels, all in great condition.
Performance throwbacks include the faux vents on the rear quarter
panel borrowed from the '69, and the dual exhaust which tuck into
the splitter valance. Reverse lights are embedded in the rear
bumper cover and a shark fin antenna rises from the roof.
Imperfections include scrapes and scratches under the chin, various
scratches and chipped paint, and a significant ding with paint
damage.
Interior
Black molded plastic door panels with cloth inserts dress the doors
with clean lines and logical ergonomics. The supportive sport seats
are the same you'd find in higher trim levels only these have
smooth two tone cloth coverings. The driver's entry point shows a
bit of compression but otherwise in great shape just as the rear
2+2 seats present, also in supportive bucket style and fold down
capabilities. A steering wheel that is race sculpted to the hands
presents to the driver and the twin gauge pod surrounds a digital
screen that provides information beyond the speed and RPMs. The
center stack is where we find another screen that provides
information and relays settings on the AM/FM/CD radio that has
Bluetooth and XM capability. A tidy shifter is in the center
console and molded plastic finishes to create cup holders and a
storage bin. Low pile black carpet is in great shape as is the
charcoal, cloth covered molded headliner, while gray flannel lines
the trunk which is also clean.
Drivetrain
Large plastic covers keep the engine bay clean, as it is here and
housing the 3.6 liter VVT V6 electronically fuel injected engine
rated at 327 horsepower. A 6L50E 6-speed automatic transmission
sends power to the rear where it meets 3.27 gears. Power disc
brakes are found front and rear.
Undercarriage
Very clean underneath with barely any surface rust to note, no
leaking or residual oil anywhere, intact rubber boots and no grease
build up. It's dusty from driving but not dirty. The dual exhaust
travels through original equipment mufflers and then through chrome
tips tucked out back. Coil spring suspension is present in the
front and 4.5 link independent suspension is out back.
Drive-Ability
We settle into the interior which envelopes riders with robust
seats, beefy controls, and seemingly all the airbags available in
2010. A gentle rumble is expressed through the gas pedal and the
car is every bit as grounded and surefooted as you'd expect with
plenty of power on hand. There are no malfunctions in the car, and
it presents a turnkey opportunity. While Classic Auto Mall
represents that these functions were working at the time of our
test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at
the time of your purchase.
Daily commutes or weekend rides just got a bit more interesting
when you pick up this Camaro, wonderfully preserved and fully
functional. If you're looking for a project, this ain't it. This is
a modern RS with all the great eye appeal bestowed on modern
Camaros. Get some green together before the red light appears on
this orange car and we move it to the sold section.
