I bought this car over twenty years ago, intending to build my dream car. But life and health got in the way, so it mostly sat, and got worked only when time and health allowed.
I started with a California desert car. It had zero rust, and only small dings in the sheet metal. The right-hand door had been replaced with a used one early in its life. I pulled the body off and put it on stands high enough I could work under it. I cleaned and undercoated the floor.
I sandblasted the frame, and rebuilt it with urethane bushings, adjustable front springs, a 12 Bolt rear end with 3.70:1 gears and positraction, and a performance-built TH200 4R transmission.
I had a 400 ci small block built by Wheeler Racing in Blaine, MN. It included 10.0:1 pistons, AFR aluminum heads, RPM Airgap intake, and an 800 CFM Quadrajet carb. It dynoed at over 500 HP
I bought fiberglass hood and fenders, and bonded them together into a one-piece clip. I had hinges machined to fit the frame, and the framework of the new front clip. I added electric actuators controlled by a switch on the dash. I used lasers to ensure the body was perfectly straight, then painted it 2014 Corvette Lime Rock Green. In the sun, it has a lot of metallic, and in the shade, it flops to almost charcoal.
I bought a pair of Audi TT charcoal leather seats, and had the rest of the interior re-done in the same color. I removed the instrument cluster, and made a new face into which I fit AutoMeter Pro-Comp gauges. I built a console including a radio, controls for the Vintage Air heater, power port, a storage compartment, and of course, two cup holders.
Recent health problems mean I will never work on or drive the car again. I will listen to any reasonable offer
