Of special note to this car is the absolute originality of the
everything. The paint is 100% original from the factory and shows
well. There is a blemish in the paint on the decklid from many
years ago following an "egging" incident. The paint was stained
unfortunately. Upon advice from numerous "Mercedes Folks", the
seller did not opt for a re-paint of the affected area, choosing to
maintain the originality of the paint on the entire car.
The car has been very well maintained mechanically by a mechanic
shop in the Salt Lake City area. The seller reports the cars runs
and drives very well. Seller puts approx. 500 miles a year on the
car, taking the Mercedes for a "spin" once a week to "keep
everything lubed up." Ball Joints were recently (2022) replaced
along with shocks.
The convertible soft top was replaced 25 years ago and still shows
well. Carpet is original to the car except the carpet on the shelf
behind the seat. It was replaced to match the rest of the original
carpet.
