As the only Shelby-licensed replica of the original 1965 Cobra,
this roadster's sublime Superformance body utilizes high quality,
hand-laminated fiberglass to create a rock-solid drop-top that
provides a first-rate driving experience. The roll bar and stripe
delete options provide a sleek, uninterrupted profile, while the
molded hood scoop adds just the right amount of aggression. And
those sophisticated aesthetics found rich Viper Steel Gray metallic
two-stage paint complemented by a luxurious black leather
interior.
Under the hood lies a formidable Ford 418ci small block V8 engine
fitted with performance aluminum heads, intake, and Demon 4bbl
carburetor. Behind that hot mill, a proven Tremec 5-speed spins a
familiar 8.8-inch axle that ensures whiplash-inducing acceleration
while still allowing the car to loaf along at highway speeds.
That taut drivetrain rides a Superformance heavy wall Jig-welded
frame, which is married to a fully independent Superformance
suspension. Turns come courtesy of rack-and-pinion steering. Stops
are provided by power-assisted Wilwood discs at all four corners.
And power meets the pavement through attractive aluminum
Halibrand-style Knock-Off wheels and radial tires.
Between the doors, the black leather bucket seats, wood-rimmed
steering wheel, and Smith gauges, including a reverse sweep
GPS-powered speedometer and odometer, create a driver-focused
