1956 Austin Healey 100M, LeMans. 1 of 640 factory built cars. Certified by the 100M registry and with a Heritage Certificate stating it left the factory in Feb 1956 as a 100M.
Correctly number M louvered hood, carbs and cockpit molding. Period, dealer installed, wood rim Derrington steering wheel. Originally two tone white with black, now painted white. It is in excellent running and driving condition.
The car was at the end of a restoration by the previous owner when he passed on. He stripped the car to the chassis, and performed a frame up restoration on it. Fully rebuilt the engine, brakes and suspension. The car is in very good rust free condition.
Some work still remains to be done on the car. Mostly interior work and a few other minor items.
On factory 100M the numbers are important to know: The louvered hood and 3 of the 4 cockpit moldings are correctly numbered. The engine tag is missing off the engine. The distributor, vacuum advance and carburetors are all numbered correctly and original for this 100M. The trunk lid has no number.
The convertible top and frame are currently not installed. They come with the car. The interior door panels are currently not installed. They are with the car.
This car represents the very best of 1950’s sports car motoring. It is a great opportunity for someone to own a factory 100M certified by the registry.
