Vehicle Description
This 1939 Ford Cabriolet Supercharged Street Rod combines classic
style with modern muscle. The all-steel body sports a remarkable
two-tone metallic paint job - red with white accents. Chrome
smoothies measuring 14" up front and 15" in the rear are wrapped in
185/70R14 front and 225/75R15 rear rubber. A removable black canvas
top with glass window tops off the sleek profile. Shaved door
handles, dual mirrors, and spotlights add custom flair to this
lowered hot rod rolling on suicide doors. The V-butt windshield
adds a distinctive touch to the front end, enhancing its classic
appeal.
Inside, the red interior pops with vinyl and cloth bucket seats up
front and a matching bench in back. With power steering and a tilt
column that sports a leather-wrapped banjo steering wheel, while
polished gauge surrounds add flash to the dash. Power windows, a
Sony radio/CD player, and interior lights in the kick panels round
out the creature comforts. The door panels match the seats'
two-tone scheme, tying the cabin together.
Powering this Ford is a supercharged 350 V8 with Edelbrock aluminum
heads and a BDS blower. An Edelbrock 4-barrel carb feeds the beast,
while MSD ignition provides the spark. A TH350 3-speed automatic
transmission handles gear changes. Up front, a Mustang II-style
independent suspension improves handling. Out back, air shocks and
leaf springs support the 8" rear end. Dual exhaust with Flo-Pro
mufflers provides the soundtrack.
