This 1970 Chevelle was produced on 4/30/1970 and sold new at L.G.
Maxton Sales in Angola, Indiana. This Chevelle is the recipient of
a comprehensive frame off restoration, completed in 2023. A
professional restoration to this quality costs upwards of $150,000
on average. The exterior is dressed in its factory Code 48 Forest
Green with D88 hood and deck stripes, hood pins, functional special
ducted Cowl Induction hood and upgraded 15" SS style Rally wheels
with BF Goodrich radial white letter tires. The interior is
finished in Medium Saddle interior with Strato Bucket seats, Hurst
Competition shifter, and center console, special instrumentation
and push button AM/FM radio. Under the hood lies the legendary LS6
spec'd 454 cubic inch big block engine boasting an 11:0 compression
ratio, a Winters aluminum intake manifold and a Holley 4-barrel
carburetor with electric choke. Power goes through an M22 Muncie
4-Speed manual heavy duty transmission to a 12 Bolt Positraction
rear axle. Other options include front disc brakes with vacuum
assist, and power steering. As one admires this Chevelle, they
realize they are looking at a truly special example of the
quintessential American muscle car restored to perfection. Even the
underside of this car is incredible, and looks just as good as the
top side, with all factory style inspection marks, chalk marking
and tags exactly as they should be, and nestled into an incredible,
high-gloss black frame. Doubtless these components took countless
hours of finish and paint work, executed to perfection, to create
the finished product. With all components restored or rebuilt to
top quality, this 1970 Chevelle SS is now ready for it's new
caretaker to drive and enjoy.
