Vehicle Description
STK 3858 1941 1941 Chevrolet Custom Rat Rod
This 1941 Chevrolet 'Rat Rod' pickup is a one-off creation that
looks the part and appears to be very mechanically sound. The
channeled all-steel '41 Chevy cab sits on a custom box frame. The
cab's top has been 'carefully' chopped and redesigned. Side windows
have been deleted for cooling and the doors have been reinforced
with safety braces. The patina finish is accented with a functional
roof rack, a little rust and a lot of 'deeply philosophical'
stickers. Handsome 20" alloy wheels mount meaty Achilles 315/35R20
Desert Hawk performance radials. The bed is equipped with an oak
floor (unfinished), battery, random tools, spare cans and other
features. The interior can best be described as functional. Seats
are fitted with 'embroidered' burlap cushions and the dash holds a
multitude of mostly-working gauges. A custom alloy racing wheel is
drilled to save weight, floorboards have been reinforced with NCDMV
plating and a unique tack welded metal console with 'western-style'
shift boot has been installed. This '41 Chevy model is also
'radio/heater delete'.
Horsepower is furnished by a sweet 289ci Ford Windsor, one of their
best. It is equipped with an aluminum intake, Brawler 600cfm 4V
carburetor, K&N air intake and 'Lake-Style' headers w/cut-outs.
This motor sounds strong. The transmission is a 5-speed manual with
hydraulic clutch and custom shifter. Original electrics have been
replaced with a 12-volt alternator. The front end utilizes a solid
dropped axle and cantilever suspension w/air-ride assist. The rear
configuration employs of a solid rear axle, multi-link suspension
and air-ride assist. Stopping power is provided by hydraulic
4-wheel disc brakes w/dual master cylinder. This '41 Chevy Rat Rod
was built to be driven and is all about fun. The current owner is
ready to pass it on the next owner. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS"
