ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, MATCHING NUMBERS 352 V8, FIRES RIGHT UP, FLOATS DOWN THE ROAD! This is one of those trucks that makes you do a double take. She is beautiful inside and out! COSMETIC
- Paint/Body: What a sharp truck! Restored about 8 years ago, this is one of the nicer clean up jobs I've seen in a while. The previous owner who did the work made her beautiful while keeping the originality by reusing any parts that could be recycled. He did a stand up job! The body on this girl is arrow straight. The doors open and close easily with no sagging, bed sits level with the cab and the hood opens and shuts with ease as well. The paint is driver quality but done very well. She is shiny and sharp! No pops, dings or bubbles on any of the major panels. The bottom of the doors has some minimal pitting that is either extremely minor rust bubbles or simply small flaws in the paint job. Those can be seen in our video inspection. Overall though I'd call her a 5 footer, from just 5 feet away she looks like perfection! All the chrome and trim are original and in great condition. The bumpers have been replaced and the chrome really shines!
- Interior: The interior of this truck is sharp! New bench seat cover and headliner. The door panels look great. Rubber floor mat with individual carpet mats on each side. The dash is extremely clean, no cuts or alterations from original. She has both driver and passenger seatbelts as well.
- Glass/Windows: All the glass is in like new condition. No cracks or shadowing anywhere. The windows roll up and down with ease.
- Trunk/Bed: The bed of this truck is in great shape. Some normal wear and tear from being used over the years. Bed liner was painted in when the restoration was done. Underneath the bed is really clean as well. Some visible patches from the underneath which are shown in the video inspection.
- Undercarriage: The underneath of this truck is amazing. Done by the previous owner, most everything has been sprayed with a protectant. It was done tastefully and as far as we have seen does not cover any pre-existing rust or flaws. There is no rust on the frame, floorpans, bottom of the doors, hinge pockets, rockers or cab corners. Everything is very clean. Only 2 small spots underneath that have evidence of past rust, one in the passenger side front fender well and the other in the back of the bed underneath there are some patches from past repairs. Newer exhaust is in great shape as well.
- Wheels/Tires: All matching aftermarket wheels with matching Cooper Cobra Radial tires. Tires are older but still have plenty of tread on them.
MECHANICAL
- Drivetrain: This girl has an original 352 V8. She fires right up and drives strong down the road. The 3 speed on the column transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. She has a Ford 9 inch rear end. Man, she just floats down the road! While she still has original manual steering and brakes, she has virtually no play in the wheel, turns easily and the brakes stop perfectly. The exhaust was replaced in the restoration and sounds fantastic!
- Lights/Electrical: All the headlights, taillights, brake lights, turn signals and wipers are working. Aftermarket Bluetooth retro radio is hooked up and functional. The gauges are all working as well.
- Brakes: Manual drum brakes stop straight and strong! No pulling to either direction.
