This 1988 Chevy K1500 Cheyenne is a really cool truck. It is a
short-bed 4x4 that was selectively restored by the previous owner.
This is a solid, extra clean, and rust free truck that spent its
life in California and Oregon. It is very close to being a fully
restored truck, but since it was so clean to start with there was
no need to go frame off with it. The body on this truck is
extremely clean and straight. The previous owner owned a body shop
so he put an amazing paint job on the truck. The Dark Argent
Metallic paint is beautiful. The moldings, bumpers, and trim are
all excellent! the bed was Line-xed and it received a new sliding
rear window and new windshield too! The underside of this truck is
super clean and we found no rust issues with this truck!
The interior is also in excellent shape. The seat was recovered and
is like new. It also has a new headliner. The dash, door panels,
and the floormat are original and still really nice. The
headlights, taillights, brakelights, and turn signals are all
working. The gauges all work. This truck has tilt wheel and cruise
but the cruise control is not working. The windshield wipers and
the horn work. It does have working heat and AC. A really nice
interior.
Mechanically this truck is excellent!! It runs and rives
wonderful!! The engine is the original 5.7L 350 TBI (Throttle Body
Fuel Injection) that runs strong with no issues or red flags that
we found. The previous owner had the engine rebuilt when the truck
was restored but we did not receive receipts. The rebuild and
restoration has less than 10,000 miles on it. It has the 700R4
Automatic Transmission that shifts nice and it is mated to the
np241 transfer case. The 4WD works like it should. It has a 10 Bolt
rear axle with 3.73 gears. The front axle is the IFS with 3.73
gears. It recently had new ball joints and an alignment done in the
last year. This is all sitting on a nice set of ne aftermarket
aluminum rims with newer All terrain Tires size 165/75/16. This
truck is a blast to drive and looks awesome.
