1966 PONTIAC GTO - 389 TRI-POWER 4-SPEED, RESTORED CAR!!! This 1966
Pontiac GTO presents itself well in a factory color Barrier Blue.
The fit and finish is good. The blue paint has a mirror like
finish, it has a lot of depth. The front and rear bumpers have been
re-chromed to a show finish. All the stainless steel has been
polished. The door handles, emblems, tail light trim and headlight
bezels have been replaced. All the glass is clear. All weather
stripping and fuzzies have been replaced. It sits on a set of 15X7
Cragar SS wheels wrapped with a set of Cooper Cobra raised white
letter tires, 215/65 15 in front and 255/60/15 in the rear for that
aggressive look ! The Black interior is all new and has that WOW
factor up against the blue exterior. The woodgrain dash has been
redone, all the chrome around the bezels looks like new and the
lenses are clear. The dash pad and grab bar are nice. The bucket
seats have new cushions and covers. It also has newer door panels,
armrests and bases, new carpet and sill plates. The headliner is as
tight as a drum. Looking forward at the dash there is a restored,
original black steering wheel and factory style in-dash tach. It
also features a Hurst shifter coming out of the console and a
factory vacuum gauge mounted on it! The heater controls slide with
ease. It has a retro looking factory AM/FM radio. It also features
front and rear seat belts. The engine compartment is nicely
detailed with its completely rebuilt 389 ci/360 hp engine WS code.
It has the correct stock chrome valve covers and air cleaners. The
ignition has been upgraded to Pertronix HEI ignition. Many of the
components look new; wiring, hoses, fan shroud, fan and 4-core
aluminum radiator. It has a new cadmium plated power brake booster
with an upgraded dual master cylinder and has under hood
insulation. The engine bay is painted in a nice satin black finish.
The undercarriage is detailed and has extremely clean, original
metal floors. The floors are painted in a nice satin black finish.
The frame is also finished in a satin black finish. The bottom of
the motor is clean along with the Muncie M21 4-speed manual
transmission. The front suspension and steering have been
completely rebuilt with tubular A-arms and new shocks. The brakes
have been upgraded with Wilwood power front disc brakes. It has a
new gas tank, sending unit and fuel tank straps. It has 3:55 rear
end gears. It also has dual exhaust with FlowMaster mufflers and
correct exhaust tips running out the rear of the car. The E-brake
cables are hooked up and working. The trunk is detailed with a coat
of splatter paint and spare tire with jack assembly. It also has
new weather stripping. This GTO has the looks that kill!!! Turn-key
ready to enjoy!
