Vehicle Description
1932 Ford Model 18 Roadster
The Model B was the follow up to the Model A and introduced in
1932. While they took some design cues from their predecessor they
received an upgraded look and improved drivetrain. This was also
the first year for Ford to offer an optional flathead V8 marking an
important time for automotive history. A lot of these vehicles have
now been customized so what makes this nice '32 unique is that it
is all stock. The car was originally purchased back in 2007 and
kept in heated/cooled climate controlled storage. It is the
Roadster body style and is all original steel. It is painted in a
two tone Burgundy with Black fenders and has Black along the
bodyline which also is pinstriped. The car has a lot of its unique
original features like the original bumpers, chrome headlights with
headlight bar, cowl mounted turn signals, a drivers side spotlight,
dual side mounted spares, and the rear luggage trunk. It even has
the rear rumble seat with passenger side fender steps and hand
grips. The tan canvas top is in good shape and has Brown piping.
Nowadays most canvas tops have a plastic rear windshield but back
in this day they were glass. The wheels are all the original Red
wire wheels with V8 center caps, beauty rings, and wide white wall
tires.
Open the 4 piece louvered steel hood and you will find the V8
Flathead motor. The car runs and drives like new. The 3 speed
transmission and all other mechanical components are the stock
specs and all functioning properly.
The interior is all very stock with Brown upholstery and a bench
seat. The dash is woodgrain with an engine turned bezel and stock
style gauges. The odometer shows 1,885 miles but the original
mileage is unknown.
This is a very cool vintage Ford and being a Model 18 Roadster is
one of the more rare body styles. It is a beautiful car that anyone
would be proud to own.
