Not only will the 1964 GTO go down in history as the beginning of
the Muscle Cars, it will also be known in Automotive history on how
it got there as GM management banned divisions from involvement in
auto racing. However, John DeLorean with the help of Bill Collins
found a loop hole when designing the GTO and went about it on his
own and the rest is history. This car is an absolute gem, with what
appears to be a complete nut and bolt rotisserie restoration
sometime around 2013-2014 as this car won first place at Autorama,
was Muscle Car Finalist at Good Guys and Pontiac Nationals first
place winner. The car was originally given to Arnie "The Farmer"
Beswick's wife to drive as a daily driver. In fact, Arnie has
signed the sun visor in the car and what is crazy, he is actually
still getting behind the seat and drag racing to this day in his
80's. Run Rite Classics out of Houghton Lake, MI did the complete
restoration back to better than new quality with a mirror like
Starlight black finish with beautiful red interior. This is a
factory power steering, power brake, smoked glass and factory A/C
car. Originally it had a 4-barrel set up but has been converted to
tri-power. This GTO starts perfectly, finds idle easily, does not
smoke or leak, sounds perfect and goes down the road with ease. It
commands all the attention and would make someone one hell of a
show car. It would cost double the asking price to bring to this
standard today. Do not miss this opportunity to not only own a near
perfect GTO, but also history. We encourage any questions and
inspections.
