Vehicle Description
2020 Harley-Davidson FLDE Softail Deluxe
If you're reading this, you're probably familiar with Harley
Davidson's use of abbreviations and acronyms used to demarcate the
specific variety of a particular family of bikes. But if you're not
familiar, just know that there are dozens of variations of
abbreviations for all of the five families of Harley bikes and not
only that, they change through the years and the same letter can be
used to describe two different bike attributes. You might want to
put your leathers on before studying up on that, it can be a bumpy
ride.
For consignment, a 2020 Harley Davidson FLDE Softail Deluxe with an
incredible and title verified 372 actual miles. No typo here or
missed numbers, the bike has less than 400 miles. We can decipher
FLDE pretty easily here as part of it ends up in the bike's full
name. F is for overhead valve "Big Twin," L is for wide front tire
and Hydra-glide style front forks, and DE in this case means
Deluxe.
Exterior
Leave it to Harley to come up with clever names for color and this
bike is painted in Stone Washed White Pearl and damn if that
doesn't describe it well! The tank and fenders wear this white but
it wouldn't be a Harley if it wasn't adorned with accents such as a
gray double pinstripe, chrome tips on the back edge of the fenders,
an ornate chrome crown on the front fender that peels back into a
spear, and Deluxe nameplate on the front. The tank wears a chrome
faced speedometer and info screens which trails down to a leather
accent that dips below the seat. Polished edge cylinder heads are
otherwise black which only helps highlight the heavily chromed
engine parts and covers stand out with greater impact. The massive
front forks, dual exhaust, 16-inch wire wheels, and clutch cover
all shine brightly with quality chrome. In front, the headlight and
fog light buckets, handlebar, and mirrors also reflect like
mirrors. The bike presents in new condition, and we did not find
any flaws in the paint, engine, chrome, or exterior
accoutrements.
Functionality
The rider has a large stitched leather saddle that is wide and
comfortable. A leather satchel is strapped on to the standard
handlebars with robust grips and multiple thumb driven control
switches and substantial steel brake and clutch levers. The
speedometer is large and center and contains a number of indicator
lights that remain black when not engaged. All lights including
amber turn signals are LED.
Drivetrain
On board we have a Milwaukee Eight 107 V-Twin, fuel injected and
rated at 110 pound feet of torque. The 6-speed Cruise-Drive
transmission spins a belt to the rear wheel and disc brakes on both
wheels have the task of slowing and stopping the bike. A telescopic
fork makes up the front suspension while a twin sided swing arm is
found in the back of this Softail.
Here's a fantastic Harley Davidson FLDE Softail Deluxe in pristine
condition, suitable for a collector or for anyone who wants to hit
the open road in a stable, capable, and beautiful piece of
machinery from arguably the most iconic motorcycle manufacturer in
the world. This is a bike with modern technology but visual hints
of vintage Harleys at the same time.
