In conjunction with significant updates to the Mustang, Shelby introduced an extensive facelift on their GT350/500 models. Ford's influence was stronger than ever, with corporate executives pushing increased grand touring comfort over the original car's track-based roots. Of course, these changes made for a much more enjoyable streetcar. With a standard deluxe interior and various optional extras, the 1969 Shelbys proved to be the last of the original Shelby Mustangs.

Equipped with a 351ci Windsor V8 marketed as producing 290hp and a choice of manual or automatic transmissions, performance was on par with other small-block muscle cars of the period. With only 1,085 GT350 Fastbacks produced, these cars are growing increasingly well-regarded by enthusiasts. With looks shared with no other Mustang, a 1969 Shelby will stand out in any premiere collection.

The magnificent Shelby GT350 Fastback feature here is finished in a stunning factory color combination of Royal Maroon with Gold stripes over a gorgeous Black deluxe interior. This incredible motorcar was sold new at Hysen-Johnson Ford of San Luis Obispo, California, and has remained with California owners ever since. This motorcar has been comprehensively restored to an extremely high level and is among one of the finest examples we have seen to date. Accompanying this investment-grade Shelby GT350 are its original build sheet order forms, Carroll Shelby signed owner's manual, and a deluxe Marti report certifying this show winning GT350. This Shelby was also a recipient of the coveted first-place award at the Shelby National Meet, which makes this the perfect example to add to any premier collection. We are proud to offer this showstopping GT350 to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who only wants to acquire the best!
