Vehicle Description
Long before Tom Brady began monopolizing the term 'Goat,' Pontiac
created a muscle car that became one of the most memorable in
history. One look at this entirely repainted Burgandy 1967 Pontiac
GTO Convertible and it is easy to see why. 1967 represented the
first year the GTO's louvered taillights were replaced with two
sets of four on each side. This car's Ram Air scooped hood, GTO
badges, and redline BF Goodrich tires all signal to the world that
this Pontiac is driving excitement. A wood-grain, trimmed console,
dashboard, and wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel highlight the
OE black vinyl interior.
Under the hood, we find a big block 400 cubic-inch V-8 topped with
a single four-barrel Quadrajet carburetor, which replaced its
predecessor's Tri-Power setup. V-8 power is sent through a TH400
three-speed automatic transmission before heading to the 12-bolt
rear end. The Goat rides on a coil spring suspension, 14-inch
Rallye wheels wrapped in 215/70R-14 BFG rubber, which can be
vaporized with just the throttle blip.
While over 65,000 GTO Hardtops were produced this year, our 1967
Pontiac GTO Convertible is just one of 9,517 made. This car's motor
and transmission have been rebuilt and have just 13K miles on them
since being restored. This car also has its own Pontiac Historic
Services (PHS) documentation, which illustrates and details its
original factory specs, options, and other unique information.
