comes with PHS documentation along with having been with the
previous owner since 1970. If you're in the market for a GTO
convertible that has the quality and the history, then you won't
want to miss this one. In the following paragraphs, we will briefly
describe the exterior, interior, and driveline of this Pontiac, but
first we would like to tell you a little about us.

We will start with the exterior of this GTO. The body on it is
laser straight down the sides and has one of the best fits of the
panels that we have ever seen on a GTO. All the gaps are even and
symmetrical and you can see that it has an excellent fit of the
doors, hood, trunk, and top. The paint on this 65 was redone and
base coat clear coat. It features the midnight blue paint scheme
which is the factory option for it. You can see a gorgeous eye to
detail as it has been wet sanded, buffed, and polished out to a
mirror finish that slick is a ribbon. New front and rear bumpers
were installed at the time of the restoration, and we can see that
the rest of the tram and stainless is beautiful from the wheel well
opening molding and rocker molding to all the window trim and
bezels. The glass in this Pontiac is just as nice as the rest of
the vehicle and we could see that the seals and weather stripping
have been replaced. A new white convertible top was installed at
the time of restoration and is also the factory option. To finish
off the stance it's sitting on a set of factory 14" steel wheels
with the correct hubcaps and a set of Radial Red Line Tires
FR70-14.
Next, we will look at the interior of this Convertible. On the
inside, it's done in the factory 217-33 option of blue that flows
perfectly with the exterior. This GTO was factory-ordered with
bucket seats and console that houses the automatic shifter. Both
door panels look to have been replaced at the time of the
restoration and are like new. The seats are done the factory-style
covers and all their trim is beautiful. Looking at the dash we can
see that all the metal is just as nice as the rest of the car. It
features a Two-tone blue scheme that flows perfectly with the door
panels. It has a new pad that was installed, and the GTO emblem and
pull bar are in great condition. This '65 features the
factory-style steering wheel and horn. The factory gauges are in
excellent condition and working as they should. They feature
wood-grain accents that provide a beautiful compliment. All the
lights, wipers, and turn signals are working on this GTO as well.
The carpet and sill plates are all very nice as well. Inside the
trunk is rock solid and we can see that it is detailed out with the
trunk mat and has the matching FR70 14 Steel Wheel spare.
Finally, we will get to the driveline of this Pontiac. Under the
hood we can see the same eye for detail that was present with the
rest of the build was carried over. All of the metal is beautiful,
and the paint has a gorgeous finish as well. The power comes from
the Original Matching #s 389 V8 Engine that's set up with the
factory four-barrel intake and original 3896S Carter AFB Carb. It's
dressed in chrome valve covers and factory-style air cleaner. This
GTO was factory-ordered with Power Steering and Power Brakes. The
389 V8 is mated to the factory Super Turbine 300, ST-300, two-speed
automatic transmission that goes out back to the original
Saf-T-Trac 10 Bolt Rear End with 3.23 Gears. For exhaust, it has
manifolds with new dual pipes and mufflers that exit out the back.
When we look under this GTO, we can see they did an excellent job
with the frame-off restoration as all the floor pans were cleaned,
detailed, and painted out in red oxide. The frame is detailed out
in black, and they installed new body bushings. Also, new bushings
were installed in the suspension components along with new shocks
being installed. On the highway the 389 runs out great and the
transmission shifts with ease. Also, it handles great and makes for
a great ride. You won't want to miss out on this quality 1965 GTO
Convertible that has had the same owner since 1970!
