fleetside truck! This Chevy comes to us dressed in a high-quality
respray of Midnight Black, its original color. The paint is deep
and slick with very few minor imperfections from being driven. The
grille is an eye-catcher - bright eggcrate with a horizontal black
line through the center, a gold Chevy bowtie in the middle, and
dual stacked rectangular headlights on either side. Beneath the
grille is a gleaming chrome bumper with added bumper guards - a
cool look. Brightwork against a glossy black backdrop continues as
you walk around the truck and see wheel lip molding, drip rail
molding, dual bright side mirrors, and door handles. Due to the
height of the truck, tubular polished aluminum Bully steps have
been added to each side for easier entry and exit. In the rear
you'll find wrap-around tail lights, another gleaming bumper with a
diamond-plate top, dual chrome exhaust tips, and blacked-out
"Chevrolet" lettering on the tailgate. The bed is in spectacular
condition and looks virtually unused, and it's kept looking that
way with a thick black Holley bed mat. This K10 stands tall and
proud on a set of matte black Mickey Thompson Classic Baja Lock
wheels with machined lips all wrapped in Mickey Thompson Baja
Legend EXP tires (295/70R17) - a perfect combination for this black
beauty! The raised stance of this Chevy comes courtesy of lifting
blocks and newer SkyJacker Hydro 700 shocks on all 4-corners.
The all-black theme continues under the hood in the incredibly
clean, factory-looking engine bay. We believe the engine at the
heart is the original 305 5.0 liter V-8. The black block is topped
with black valve covers, a black intake, and black air cleaner.
Exhaust flows through cast manifolds, newer pipes, and newer
mufflers before exiting with a pleasing rumble. The V-8 is mated to
a 3-speed manual transmission with a low creeper gear and working
4-wheel drive with locking hub. While under the hood you'll see
that this K10 is also equipped with power steering and power brakes
(disc/drum).
Open the drivers door and step up into an exceptionally clean
maroon interior - the original color. The maroon door panels are
the spartan OEM-style in good condition. The maroon vinyl bench
seat has seatbelts for 3 and is quite comfortable. The crack-free
maroon dash appears original and is home to working factory gauges,
with the exception of the fuel gauge (inop). Also in the dash are
controls for the working heater and fan. The factory stereo has
been replaced by a Blaupunkt Laguna CD43 AM/FM/CD stereo and a
Blaupunkt 7-band EQ has been mounted under the dash. The sound
system upgrades don't stop there though - behind the seat you'll
find a Blaupunkt 1804BT amplifier, a Rockville USS10 10"
sub-woofer, and a pair of Lanzar speakers in the cab corners. While
behind the seat you'll see that the rear window is a 4-piece
slider, as it was originally ordered. Ahead of the driver is a
2-spoke black OEM steering wheel with a bowtie at the center on a
tilt column. Working 2-speed wipers are controlled by a stalk on
the column. Rising up from the center of the floor are shifters for
both the transmission and the 4-wheel drive, both with black boots.
The floor is covered in newer maroon carpet, the roof is just black
painted steel, and the cab light works. In the glovebox is a real
treat - the original SPID (special parts identification) sheet
which details how the car was originally optioned. The icing on the
cake comes when you look at the odometer and find that this amazing
truck has only 68,806 Actual Miles!
