The Chevrolet Chevelle SS (Super Sport) stands as a quintessential
example of American muscle car design and performance from the
mid-1960s. Launched in 1964 as part of Chevrolet's Chevelle lineup,
the SS variant was aimed squarely at enthusiasts seeking a blend of
style, power, and driving excitement. The '65 Chevelle Malibu SS
was a mildly refreshed version of that first model and this Malibu
SS was carefully restored in 2014. A beautiful 2-stage coat of
Rally Red was applied to the classic, virtually flawless body and
chrome/stainless components are outstanding. American Racing alloy
wheels mount stout Fuzion radials. The black vinyl interior was
completely restored. It is equipped with Vintage Air, bucket seats,
console, custom wheel, AM/FM radio, factory analogue gauges and
Equus tachometer. Headliner, dash, carpets, door cards - all top
shelf.
Horsepower is furnished by a fully dressed, rebuilt 350ci
small-block that is equipped with cast iron heads, Edelbrock
intake, MSD throttle-body fuel injection, MSD ignition and mild
performance cam. Cooling is managed by an aluminum radiator. Backed
by GM 700R4 OD transmission, it sounds strong through tube headers
and custom dual exhaust. The chassis is equipped with power
steering, power-assisted disc/drum brakes w/dual master and
heavy-duty sway bars. The '65 Chevrolet Chevelle SS remains a
cherished classic among enthusiasts today. Its timeless design
ensures its place in automotive history and is a testament to
Chevy's dedication to performance and innovation during the 'golden
age' of American muscle cars. This handsome BowTie is going to look
great in someone's garage - be it yours? ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS
IS."
