The Chevrolet Chevelle is as synonymous with American performance
as baseball and apple pie are to America itself. That's especially
true for this red-blooded 1966 model SS-396, in show-quality
condition both inside and out with its gorgeous paint & interior,
muscular big-block power, and real-deal Super Sport authenticity!
With a 138-code marking the "Super Sport" option, this is a
real-deal 1966 Chevelle SS-396, and it doesn't mess around. Dressed
in a beautiful maroon-over-black color scheme, this Chevelle
doesn't just look badass, it's got the power to back it up because
when the terms "big-block" and "Chevelle" are combined, good times
are almost guaranteed to be had. Popping open the hood reveals a
massive, correct 396 C.I. V8 breathing through an Edelbrock
4-barrel carburetor for maximum power. Torque is stomped into the
pavement through a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, which
shifts quick and smooth as this Chevelle takes to the road. Freshly
restyled for '66, the Chevelle got smooth contours, a broad new
grille, bumper treatment, and curved side windows. This Chevelle's
laser-straight bodylines are covered in a gorgeous shade of maroon
metallic paint, which has a wonderful finish as it gleams in the
sun. The shiny chrome brightwork is in fantastic shape too, which
is good because there's a lot of it! Taking a look underneath the
car it's clear that the undercarriage is in great condition, as
evidenced by strong floors, frame rails, trunk, and door jambs.
Opening the doors and stepping inside reveals a show-quality black
vinyl interior, complete with comfy bucket seats that are perfect
for cruising and some digital gauges that work wonderfully. Other
options on this beautiful '66 Chevelle SS include power steering,
power brakes, front disc brakes, aftermarket headers, MSD ignition,
a full center console with working clock, digital gauges, a
wonderful-sounding AM/FM vintage-style radio, vent windows, dual
chrome mirrors, and a mean-sounding dual exhaust system. The car is
equipped with a sharp set of 15" Chevrolet rally wheels shoed with
Cooper Cobra RWL tires for a factory-fresh, period-correct look
that's sure to turn heads! This car runs and drives down the road
like a dream, and it's got a ton of horsepower to boot. Combining
killer big-block performance and beautiful style, this '66 Chevelle
SS is the real deal. We think it'd look great in your driveway, so
don't let it pass you by!
